Attendance
OUR VISION
Attendance at Beck is excellent and all children are keen and motivated to attend school every day. Parents and carers value the education on offer at Beck and for families, school feels ‘irresistible’. There is a welcoming and positive culture with the highest of expectations in place of ‘ourselves’ and ‘others’. By exuding excellence in all we do, we support children to achieve their full potential and to thrive as responsible and respectful members of their communities.
Absence becomes the exception and when families face barriers to learning, the culture and relationships with school support them to seek support at the earliest opportunity.
With families who face challenges and barriers to attendance, school works proactively and in a timely way to address these in partnership with families so that absence does not become the norm for any child. We understand that patterns can form quickly and that early intervention is essential.
Beck leaders and staff all understand their responsibilities for attendance, and tackling attendance is everyone’s responsibility.
We are relentless in our pursuit of excellent attendance for children so that EVERY child can access the opportunities afforded to them.
Support and guidance on attendance is always available in school. If you have any questions about this please contact our Attendance Team which is led by Mr Pont and Mrs Hughes.
“We are committed to ensuring that every child enjoys exceptional and memorable experiences and develops the skills, knowledge and attributes they will need in later life.“
